This soft and squishy superwash merino/nylon 4ply sock weight yarn is hand dyed by the Knitting Squirrel in a wonderful collection of colour combinations.

The hand dyed sock yarn set includes a 50g skein and a 20g skein. This amount is perfect for shortie socks! Or you can knit a full size pair of socks out of a set up to a UK size 5-6!

There is something wonderfully cute about socks with contrasting cuffs, heels and toes! Also, lovely for a beanie hat or a pair of fingerless mitts.

The 50g skein:

• Fibre Content: 75% superwash merino, 25% nylon
• Yarn Weight: 4ply
• Skein weight: 50g
• Approximate length: 212m

The 20g skein (except in Smitten Colourway see *):

• Fibre Content: 75% superwash merino, 25% nylon
• Yarn Weight: 4ply
• Skein weight: 20g
• Approximate length: 85m

* In the Smitten Colour the 20g skein is 75% superwash merino, 20% nylon and 5% silver stellina and is 80m in length.

• Recommended Needle Size 2.5-2.75 mm

I use professional grade acid dye which has minimum impact on the environment.

Keep in mind, while I try to photograph the yarn true to colour, please remember that all monitors are different.

Care instructions:

Superwash wool. This yarn is machine washable at 30 deg Celsius. Please wash with similar coloured items. Colours may run slightly for the first few washes.

Hand dyed colours last longer with hand washing. I hand wash with warm water and mild detergent. Dry flat. Hand washing will prolong the life of your finished garment.

But, the way in which you choose to wash your finished garment is dependent upon what the garment is. I tend to machine wash my hand knit socks as I wear them every day. On the other hand I hand wash and block my shawls, scarves and other accessories and garments when they need to be laundered.
