Sock Yarn from the rare breed Schafpate sheep. The wool is supplied from about 30,000 sheep from the nature reserve BiosphareAlb in south Germany where traditional practices of sheep-rearing is still worked by the migrant shepherds. This sock yarn supports their environment and animal friendly way of life.

Opal Schafpate 4 Ply Sock Yarn is made from 75% wool and 25% nylon. The resulting sock has excellent wearability.

• Fibre content: 75% wool, 25% nylon
• Ball size: 100 grams
• Approximate length: 425 metres
• Recommended needle size: 2.5mm
• Care: Machine washable but it is always wise to follow the care instructions on the ball band.
