Arne Nerjordet and Carlos Zachrison started their design firm Arne & Carlos in 2002 and began to focus exclusively on Scandinavian-style knitwear in 2007. Their design studio is a converted railway station north of Oslo. Regia yarn is noted for its durability and shape rentention. Machine washable up to 40° C (100° F) and can be tumble dried. Will not felt.

“We believe that the best approach to creating something new is to look into our past and cultural heritage, to bring out the best things that history taught us and to make it our own again. For this Regia effect, we’ve dug deep into our archive of Norwegian patterns and worked on developing an effect inspired by an old men’s vest, which was part of a 19-century Norwegian folk costume from the Gudbrandsdal region of Norway. The colour combinations are inspired by Edward Munch’s paintings of landscapes and beautiful Norwegian nights.” – Arne & Carlos
